Choose the pages you need and get them back as one new PDF. You can tick pages visually on a thumbnail grid or type a page list, whichever is quicker.

How to use Extract Pages from a PDF
- Add one PDF; small previews of every page load below the options.
- Click thumbnails to select them, or type page numbers such as 2,4,9-12 in the Pages box.
- Click Extract pages to build the new document.
- Download the file, which ends in -extracted.pdf.
Selecting pages visually
Clicking a thumbnail toggles it and fills the Pages box automatically, so the two methods stay in sync. When you are ready, pdf-lib copies the chosen pages into a new file. The page content is not redrawn, so searchable text, vector graphics and embedded images come through at full quality.
This suits pulling the marksheet pages out of a long document for a job application, keeping only the solved papers from a scanned question bank, or sending a colleague just the relevant section of an office circular instead of the whole file.
Limitations
- Pages always come out in their original order; use Rearrange PDF afterwards if you need a different sequence.
- Thumbnails for very long PDFs take a while to render and use more memory on phones.
- Encrypted PDFs are not reliably supported.
Frequently asked questions
If I type 7,2,5, will page 7 come first?
No. The tool keeps the document order, so the output is pages 2, 5 and 7. Reorder them later with the Rearrange tool.
How is this different from Split PDF?
Extract creates exactly one new PDF from the pages you pick. Split can produce many files at once, one per range or chunk.
Is there a privacy risk with confidential files?
The file is opened only inside your browser. No copy is sent to a server, so closing the tab clears it.
