How to use Convert PDF to JPG

  1. Upload a single PDF.
  2. Choose Quality: Normal 72 dpi, High 144 dpi, Very high 216 dpi or Print 288 dpi.
  3. Optionally type a page list such as 1,3-4; leave it blank for all pages.
  4. Click Convert to JPG and download each page or Download all (ZIP).

Choosing the right resolution

Pages are rendered with pdf.js on a white background and saved as JPEG at high quality. Higher dpi means more pixels: at 144 dpi an A4 page is roughly 1190 by 1684 pixels, which is crisp on screen, while 288 dpi doubles both dimensions for printing.

JPG is the most widely accepted image type, which makes it the safe choice when a portal asks for an image of a certificate or a filled form. Its compression is lossy, so fine text can show slight fuzz around the edges at low resolutions.

Limitations

  • Only one PDF can be converted per run.
  • JPG has no transparency; every page gets a white background.
  • Print-quality output for long documents uses a lot of memory and produces large files.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a single page as a JPG?

Type that page number in the Pages box, for example 2, before converting.

Which setting suits a document upload with a size limit?

Normal (72 dpi) or High (144 dpi). Then use an image compressor if it is still over the limit.

Do the pages get uploaded for conversion?

No. Rendering happens on your own device inside the browser.
