How to use Create a PDF from Text
- Optionally enter a Title; it appears in bold at the top of the first page.
- Choose the Page size (A4 or Letter), Font size and Font: Helvetica, Times or Courier.
- Type or paste your text in the Content box.
- Click Create PDF and download the file, named after your title.
How the PDF is laid out
The jsPDF library wraps your text to fit within 50-point margins and starts a new page whenever the current one fills up. Line spacing is set at 1.4 times the font size, which reads comfortably on screen and in print. Courier gives a typewriter look, useful for code or tabular notes, while Times suits formal letters.
It is a quick way to turn an answer-writing draft, a leave application or a list of notes typed on a phone into a document you can print or attach without opening a word processor.
Limitations
- Plain text only: no bold within paragraphs, images, tables or bullet formatting.
- The built-in fonts support English and Latin characters, not Hindi or other Indian scripts.
- There are no page numbers or headers; add numbers afterwards with the page-numbering tool.
Frequently asked questions
Do line breaks in my text carry over?
Yes. Each new line you type starts a new line in the PDF, and long lines are wrapped automatically.
What font size is best for printing?
11 or 12 suits most documents. Use 10 to fit more on a page, or 14 for easier reading.
Is what I type stored anywhere?
No. The PDF is generated in your browser and the text is not sent to a server.
