Pack several documents, photos or scans into a single .zip so they are easier to email or upload as one attachment. Any file type is accepted.

✓ No upload  ·  ✓ No sign-up  ·  ✓ No watermark

How to use Create ZIP File

  1. Drag files into the drop zone or click to browse; you can add more in several rounds.
  2. Remove any file you added by mistake with its ✕ button.
  3. Type a ZIP file name (archive is the default).
  4. Click Create ZIP, watch the progress bar, then download the archive.

Compression and what to expect

JSZip stores each file in the archive using DEFLATE, the standard method every operating system can extract. Text, CSV, Word and uncompressed images shrink noticeably; JPEG photos, PDFs, MP4 videos and existing ZIPs are already compressed, so they barely change size. The main benefit there is having one tidy file.

Students sending scanned certificates, or anyone attaching a set of documents to an application email, will find a single ZIP simpler than a dozen attachments.

Limitations

  • No password protection or encryption is available.
  • Folders are not preserved; all files sit at the top level of the archive, and two files with the same name will overwrite each other.
  • Everything is built in memory, so several gigabytes of files may fail on low-memory devices.

Frequently asked questions

Can I password-protect the ZIP?

No. This tool creates standard, unencrypted ZIP archives.

Why didn't my photos get smaller?

JPEG and similar formats are already compressed, so DEFLATE finds little to remove. Use an image compressor first if size matters.

Will Windows and Mac open the ZIP?

Yes. Both can extract DEFLATE ZIP files without extra software.

Are my files sent to a server?

No. The archive is assembled inside your browser.
