Split CSV File
Break a large CSV into parts with a fixed number of rows, for example to meet an upload limit of 1,000 records per file. The header row can be repeated in every part.

How to use Split CSV File
- Add one CSV, TSV or TXT file.
- Set Rows per file (default 1,000).
- Keep Repeat header row in every file ticked unless you want the parts without headings.
- Click Split file and download the parts, named file-part-1.csv, file-part-2.csv and so on, or get them all as a ZIP.
How the split works
The file is parsed with PapaParse rather than cut line by line, so quoted values containing commas or line breaks stay intact. The first line is treated as the header and the remaining data rows are divided into chunks of the size you set; the last part holds whatever is left. Blank lines are skipped.
Values are copied exactly as text, so leading zeros in roll numbers or phone numbers survive. Typical uses: bulk uploads to portals with row limits, mail-merge batches and sharing manageable pieces of a big export.
Limitations
- Parts are always written with commas, even if the original used semicolons or tabs.
- If you untick the header option, the header line is left out of every part, including the first.
- The whole file is read into memory, so extremely large CSVs may be slow on phones.
Frequently asked questions
Will a quoted address with commas break the split?
No. The parser respects quotes, so such values stay in one field.
Can I split by file size instead of rows?
Not currently; only a fixed row count per file is supported.
Do numbers keep their leading zeros?
Yes. The split does not convert values, so text like 00987 is unchanged.
