How to use WebP to JPG Converter

  1. Add one or more .webp files using the upload box.
  2. Set Quality (default 90) to control JPG compression.
  3. Choose a fill under Background for transparent areas, white unless you change it.
  4. Click Convert to JPG and download the files or the ZIP.

Why sites reject WebP and how JPG helps

A picture saved from a website often arrives as .webp, and then a job portal, a college admission form or an older photo app refuses it. JPG remains the safest common denominator for photographs. This page decodes the WebP in your browser, flattens it over your chosen background colour and encodes a fresh JPEG at the quality you set.

Exam and recruitment portals commonly ask for photographs and signatures as JPG or JPEG, so this is a quick fix when your file came from a website or a phone app as WebP. Note that size limits on such portals are usually stated in KB and pixels; this converter does not resize, so pair it with the compressor or resizer when you need to hit a specific range.

Limitations

  • Transparency cannot survive; see-through areas take the background colour.
  • Animated WebP files convert to a single still frame.
  • Re-encoding an already lossy WebP as JPG adds a second round of compression.

Frequently asked questions

My WebP has a transparent background. What happens?

JPG cannot store transparency, so those pixels are painted with the Background for transparent areas colour. White is the default; pick any other colour if needed.

Will this make the file small enough for an exam form?

Not necessarily. It changes the format; for KB limits, lower the quality here or use the image compressor afterwards and check the size on the download button.

What about animated WebP?

Only one frame is kept, because the image is drawn onto a single canvas before encoding.

Are the files processed online?

They are processed in your browser only. Nothing is transmitted to RaahUPSC or anyone else.
