Flip Image
Mirror a picture horizontally, flip it vertically, or do both at once. It is the quick fix for front-camera selfies where writing appears back to front.

How to use Flip Image
- Upload the image or images you want to mirror.
- Select a Direction: Horizontal (mirror), Vertical (upside down) or Both.
- Check the live preview of the first file.
- Press Apply & Download to save the flipped versions.
Flip versus rotate
A horizontal flip swaps left and right, exactly like a mirror, while a vertical flip swaps top and bottom. Choosing Both gives the same visual result as a 180° rotation. Flipping is a pure rearrangement of pixels, so there is no blurring and the dimensions stay identical.
Many phone front cameras save a mirrored image, which reverses text on a T-shirt, a name badge or a placard. A horizontal flip restores the true orientation. Designers also flip product shots so a subject faces into a layout rather than off the page.
Limitations
- JPG and WebP outputs are re-encoded, which adds a small amount of compression even though the flip itself is lossless.
- There is no option to flip only part of an image.
- Very large images may take a moment to preview on older phones.
Frequently asked questions
How do I fix a mirrored selfie?
Choose Horizontal (mirror). Any text in the photo will read correctly again.
Is flipping both ways the same as rotating 180°?
Yes, the pixels end up in the same positions, so either tool gives an identical picture.
What format is the download?
JPG, PNG and WebP inputs keep their format. Other formats such as HEIC, TIFF or BMP are saved as PNG.
