How to use Profile Photo Maker
- Upload a photo where your face and shoulders are clearly visible.
- Choose a Background colour; the default is a deep blue.
- Press Remove background and wait for the model download on first use.
- Download the circular PNG avatar.
What the avatar maker does
First, an in-browser AI model removes the original background. The cut-out is then centred on a square based on the shorter side of the photo, filled with your chosen colour, and clipped to a circle. Outside the circle the PNG is transparent, so it looks round on any website.
A plain colour behind your face looks tidy and professional and makes small thumbnails easier to recognise. Using the same colour for a whole team, club or coaching batch gives everyone a matching set of profile pictures.
Limitations
- The circle is always centred; crop the photo beforehand if your face is near one side.
- Wide group shots or busy scenes may not separate cleanly.
- Most platforms re-crop avatars into their own circle, so keep a little space around your head.
