How to use the SSC GD Marks Calculator

  1. Choose your category and, if you hold one, your NCC certificate.
  2. Enter correct and wrong answers for Parts A, B, C and D.
  3. Read the score out of 160, the NCC bonus and the qualifying check.

GD 2026 marking scheme

The CBE has 80 questions of 2 marks each (para 12.1): Part-A General Intelligence and Reasoning, Part-B General Knowledge and General Awareness, Part-C Elementary Mathematics and Part-D English/Hindi, 20 questions each, in 60 minutes. Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.

Worked example: 60 correct and 12 wrong overall give 60 × 2 − 12 × 0.25 = 120 − 3 = 117 out of 160. With an NCC ‘C’ certificate, 5% of 160 = 8 bonus marks are added, making 125.

NCC bonus (para 7.5 and 14.3): ‘C’ 5%, ‘B’ 3%, ‘A’ 2% of the maximum marks, added to the normalised score. Minimum qualifying marks (para 14.2), counted without the NCC bonus: 30% UR, 25% OBC/EWS, 20% others.

Limitations

  • The qualifying check uses your score without the NCC bonus, as the notice says, while the bonus is shown separately.
  • Shortlisting for PET/PST is state-wise, area-wise and category-wise at about 8 times the vacancies, so passing the minimum does not guarantee a call.
  • Physical tests (PET/PST) and the medical examination are not covered.
