How to use the SSC MTS Marks Calculator

  1. Choose your category for the qualifying check.
  2. Enter correct and wrong answers for the two Session-I and two Session-II subjects.
  3. Check that you clear Session-I, then read your Session-II score, which decides merit.

MTS 2025 marking scheme

SessionSubjectsMarksNegative
Session-I (45 min)Numerical and Mathematical Ability 20, Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving 2040 × 3 = 120None
Session-II (45 min)General Awareness 25, English Language and Comprehension 2550 × 3 = 1501 per wrong answer

Worked example: 20 correct and 5 wrong in each Session-II subject give 2 × (60 − 5) = 110 out of 150.

Session-I is evaluated first, and Session-II only for those who qualify it (para 18.2). Minimum qualifying marks in each session are 30% UR, 25% OBC/EWS and 20% others (para 18.3). Merit for MTS and Havaldar is based on Session-II only (paras 18.6 and 18.7).

Limitations

  • SSC has not published an MTS 2026 notice yet. These rules come from the MTS 2025 notice; check the new notice when it is released.
  • The total shown adds both sessions for reference, but SSC uses only the Session-II score for merit.
  • Havaldar candidates also need to clear the PET/PST, which this tool does not cover.
